Christian Distinctiveness

Our aim is to bring the best out of every pupil that attends Little Thetford CofE Primary School.

At Little Thetford primary School we follow the SACRE Cambridgeshire Locally Agreed Syllabus  2023-2028. The link for the syllabus can be found here:

Cambridgeshire Locally Agreed Syllabus

At  Little Thetford we use the Emmanuel Project to teach Christianity and World faiths to meet the statutory requirements of the Locally Agreed Syllabus 2023-2028.

RE Policy

The Right of Withdrawal from R.E.

At Little Thetford Primary School, we wish to be an inclusive community but recognise that parents, of course, have the legal right to withdraw their children from religious education. We would ask any parent considering this to contact the class teacher, RE coordinator or Headteacher to discuss any concerns or anxieties about the policy, provision and practice of Religious Education at Little Thetford Primary School.

Collective Worship

School Leaders ensure that there a range of daily acts of worship planned by different adults and  children. For example the local Vicar, members of the local community and the GENR8 team. Staff and governors are actively involved in delivering collective worship.

Weekly themes for delivering collective worship are based on those on the Diocese of Ely schools website and are followed by staff delivering collective worship. Children are keen to participate in acts of worship and listen attentively responding thoughtfully.
